Sunflower
Sunflower was settled in 1912 and named for the most common plant in the region. Sugar beet raising was attempted but the soil was too poor, even with irrigation. By the late 1920's the town had died.
There is no trace of the village. Only a couple abandoned farm houses are in the area. Sunflower is located 3.5 miles due west of Sugarville.
