Giles

The only structure left in Giles.

Giles was formed as a farming town. It was originally called Blue Valley until 1895 when it was changed to honor Bishop Henry Giles. Farming continued in the town until the early 1900's when the river flooded frequently having devastating results on the town. By 1919, the town was deserted.

To find Giles, travel about 5 miles west of Hanksville to see the only stone house left about 200 yards south from the Highway.
